Mr. Leroy Crawford, age 68, of Forrest City, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
Mr. Crawford, born May 18, 1932, in Forrest City, was a retired stocker at Bonds Grocery. He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Euwing of Forrest City; a sister, Quantine Crawford of Forrest City; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mr. Crawford is scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2001, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Crawford are scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Rising Sun M.B. Church with Rev. John Strong officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mary "Frances" Passer, age 71, of Klamath Falls, Ore., died Sunday, April 1, 2001, in Merle West Medical Center.
Mrs. Passer was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Forrest City. She was the daughter of Clarence Holmes Sr., and Myrtle Gadberry Holmes. Mrs. Passer worked as a foodservice dietitian for Port Mesa Convalescent Home in Newport Beach, Califorinia for 25 years and worked as a caregiver in home health care for the elderly. She was a member of TOPS in Klamath Falls, Ore.
Mrs. Passer is survived by three daughters, Cassandra Pritchett of Klamath Falls, Ore., Linda Fair of Garden Grove, Calif. and Karla Russell of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son, Bruce Passer of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a brother, Clarence Holmes Jr., of Westminister, Calif.

Mrs. Cansolia Allen Spears, age 71, of Colt, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at her home.
Mrs. Spears, born Nov. 19, 1929, in Sugarlark, Miss., was the daughter of Henry Allen and Mattie Lockett Allen.
Mrs. Spears is survived by her husband, Ralph Spears of Colt; two daughters, Mattie Spears of Forrest City and Florine Brandon of Chicago, Ill.; four sons, Edward Harris of Forrest City, James Bryson of Green River, Wyo., McArthur Spears of Chicago, Ill. and James Spears of Colt; a sister, Inez Johnson of Memphis; two brothers, George Allen of Amarillo, Texas and James Allen of Memphis; 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Spears will be Friday, April 13, 2001, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services for Mrs. Allen will be Saturday, April 14, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. at Poplar Grove M.B. Church with Rev. Willard Gibson officiating under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.
