Micah Caleb Clarkson

Micah Caleb Clarkson, aged five days, of Holly Srings, Miss., died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis.

He was born April 19, 2001, in Memphis, the son of Mike Clarkson and Connie Tatum Clarkson of Holly Springs.

He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Christa Clarkson, Candice Clarkson and Cara Leigh Clarkson, all of Holly Springs; grandparents Kenneth and Rebecca Tatum of Forrest City and Troy and Doris Clarkson of Colt; a great-grandmother, Margaret Cox of Forrest City. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carlei Rebecca Clarkson.

Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs on Thursday, April 26, 2001, at 11 a.m., with Dr. Curtis Farrell officiating. Holly Springs Funeral Home is in charge.

Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Holly Springs.


Johnnie W. Taylor

Mr. Johnnie W. Taylor, age 87, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, April 25, 2001, at the U.T. Bowld Hospital in Memphis.

Mr. Taylor, born April 27, 1913, in Alabama, was the son of James L. Taylor and Evie Porter Taylor. He was a farmer and a member of Widener Baptist Church and lived in Forrest City most of his life.

In 1931, Mr. Taylor married Eva Christy, and she preceded him in death in 1976. In 1978, he married Alma Busby, and she preceded him in death in 1992. He is survived by two sons, Wilburn Taylor of Millington, Tenn., and Lloyd Taylor of Forrest City; two daughters, Weaber Christian of Tennessee Ridge, Tenn. and Retha Clark of Jonesboro; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 1973 by a son, Gilbert Taylor.

Visitation for Mr. Taylor will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held Thursday, April 26, 2001, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with burial in Hughes Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family requests that memorials be sent to Widener Baptist Church.


Anna L. Williamson

Mrs. Anna L. Williamson, age 77, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.

Mrs. Williamson, born Dec. 20, 1923, in Springfield, the daughter of Paul Mallett and Nora Herring Mallett. She was a homemaker and a member of Forrest Hills United Methodist Church where she served as pianist and treasurer. She lived in Forrest City most of her life.

In 1946, Mrs. Williamson married Audy F. Williamson Sr., and he survives her along with a son, Frank Williamson of Forrest City; a daughter, Debi Williamson Juneau of Forrest City; two brothers, Paul Herring Mallett of Monroe, La., and John Robert Mallett of Jacksonville; two sisters, Nina Mallett Kowerduck and Helen Mallett Bostain, both of Plummerville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Williamson in 1985.

Graveside services for Mrs. Williamson will be held Thursday, April 26, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Williamson will be Wednesday, April 25, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family requests that memorials be sent to Forrest Hills United Methodist Church.
