The Forrest City Mustang tennis team won their first match Wednesday, knocking off West Helena.
Cecil Cole, Brittney White, James Johnson and Clayton Clay were each winners in singles competition. Cole, White and Clay recorded 8-0 shutout wins.
In doubles play, Chris Lamb and Clay won 8-0 as did the team of Cole and White.
Forrest City, 1-1 for the year, plays at West Memphis today.
Forrest City girls' softball coach Sue Jayroe officially cancelled the Lady Mustang Invitational Tournament this morning, which was set for Saturday.
The bracket was down to three teams, after LR McClellan was forced to withdraw Wednesday, due to players taking the ACT test.
