Cecil Clark

Mr. Cecil Clark, age 79, of West Memphis, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Mr. Clark, a self-employed public accountant, was a member of the Methodist Church of West Memphis. He was also a veteran of World War II and a member of the U.S. Army Air Corp. Mr. Clark was a member of the Arkansas Public Accountant Association.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Nola Clark of West Memphis; two step-sons, Ben Greenwood of West Memphis and Buddy Greenwood of Little Rock; a sister, Louise Schasteen of Albuquerque, NM; three brothers, Sonny Clark, George Clark and Clyde Vernon Clark, all of Forrest City and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Graveside services for Mr. Clark will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at 2 p.m., at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.


Erma Gatlin Jennings

Mrs. Erma Gatlin Jennings, age 53, of Palestine, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at her home.

Mrs. Jennings, born June 3, 1948, in Joiner, was the daughter of Clara B. Knox of Palestine.

She is survived by her mother; a daughter, Sheryl Gatlin of West Memphis; a son, Mark Gatlin of Colt; five sisters, Linda Wilder and Bernadine Gatlin, both of Houston, Texas, Janet Gatlin of Atlanta, Ga., and Phillicia Knox and Clara D. Knox, both of Little Rock; eight brothers, Alvertis Gatlin, Jon Knox and Sidney Knox, all of Palestine, James Knox of Colt, Charles Knox of Houston, Texas, Bernard Knox of Forrest City, Darin Knox of Little Rock and Andre Knox of Camden and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennings will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Stanley Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Franklin Sewart officiating under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.
