An organizational meeting will be held Monday, Aug. 13, at 9 a.m. at Mustang Arena for those students, grades 9-12, interested in being a part of Forrest City's first male/female cross country team.
The team will be coached by Lewis Etheridge.
The 2001-02 Forrest City Junior High cheerleading squad recently completed their summer clinic held at Forrest City under the direction of National Cheerleading Association instructors Suzy Schranta and Jeanne Burnett. Forrest City earned all Superior ribbons during the week and they were all nominated for All-American Cheerleader honors. The junior high cheerleaders are Emily Cohn, captain and Motion Award; Risondra Dean, Candice Dooley, Nivia Hamilton, All-American; Mary Dudley Hodges, Marsha James, Kandace Ivory, Motion Award; Krystal Long, Chasity Lowe, Whitney Lowe, Mallory Nelson, All-American; Neely Parker, All-American and Best All-Around Cheerleader; Casey Qualls, Motion Award; Arneshia Ryan, Holly Simon, All-American; Betsy Stone, co-captain and Amber Williams. Elizabeth Alderson is the team sponsor.
