The Forrest City Athletic Hall of Fame grew by 12 Monday, when the 2001 class was announced.
The 2001 class is:

The 12 new members will be inducted at a banquet on Friday, Sept. 21 and then again at halftime of the Forrest City-Jonesboro football game at Sam Smith Stadium.
The Hall's 'second class' will join the 12 charter Hall of Fame members from a year ago, DeJustice Coleman, Manuel Twillie, Cecil Twillie, Robert Harris, Marvin Laws, James Devazier, Donnie Kessinger, Elmer "B." Lindsey, Rusty Trail, Mallory Nimocks, Robert Lee Seward and Arthur Banks.
Bingham and Wright are the first two women athletes to be elected to the Hall, although several female athletes and coaches have been nominated since the Hall was formed a year ago.
The Hall of Fame nominations were made by the general public and were voted on by last year's Hall of Fame class.
Plaques honoring the second 12 will be placed on the Wall of Honor located in Mustang Arena.
