Mrs. Elizabeth Benton Hampton, age 92, of Little Rock, formerly of Marianna, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001.
Mrs. Hampton was born May 28, 1909, in Little Rock, and was the daughter of Timothy Benton and Modena McAlister Benton. She was a housewife, worked for the First National Bank of Marianna, and had worked at the State Revenue office. Mrs. Hampton was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene G. Hampton in 1972. She is survived by one daughter, Marie Gentry of Little Rock; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hampton will be held graveside on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at 11 a.m., at Marianna City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude or the First Presbyterian Church in Marianna.
