Richard P. Davis Sr.

Mr. Richard P. Davis Sr., age 80, of Colt, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis.

Mr. Davis, born Jan. 1, 1921, was the son of Redford Davis and Flossie Holiday Davis. He was a retired farmer and a United States Army Veteran. He was also a Methodist.

Mr. Davis is survived by a son, Richard P. Davis Jr., of Forrest City; a daughter, Mary Jean Reeves of Pearlind, Texas; a brother, James Davis of Batesville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death a sister, Pauline Ellis.

Visitation services for Mr. Davis will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Morgan Chapel. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Davis will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at 10 a.m. at Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.


Paula Bolick Green

Mrs. Paula Bolick Green, age 53, of Cabot, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001.

Mrs. Green, the daughter of Paul and Lois Bolick of Beebe, and spent 23 years as a teacher.

She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Green of the home; her parents and her grandmother; Edra Girdley of Keiser.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Green were held Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Cabot Funeral Home.

The family requests that memorials be made in her name to the Cabot Scholarship Foundation, care of Cal Aldridge, 200 W. Main St., Cabot, AR 72023.


Ronald K. "Tick" Smith

Mr. Ronald K. "Tick" Smith, age 49, of Memphis, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at his home.

Mr. Smith, formerly of Forrest City, was born Feb. 20, 1952 in Forrest City. Mr. Smith was an Army Veteran and a custodian.

Mr. Smith is survived by a daughter, Ronda Nicole Smith, of Memphis; two brothers, Rickey Green of Irving, Texas and Barry Smith of Forrest City and a sister, Beverly Smith of Evanston, Ill.

Visitation services for Mr. Smith will be held, Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at 1 p.m. at New Light M.B. Church with Rev. Jessie McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.


John Ralph Urton

Mr. John Ralph Urton, age 83, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at his home.

Mr. Urton, born July 23, 1918, in Hazen, was the son of Ralph Lewis Urton and Rose Rasor Urton. He was a retired assistant General Agent with Aetna Insurance. He was also a former principal with the Bald Knob School District and a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a member of the senior Men's Adult Sunday School class.

In 1941, Mrs. Urton married Ruth Warbritton and she preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by two sons; John Daniel Urton of Illinois and Samuel Britton Urton of North Little Rock; a daughter, Victoria Urton Harris of Forrest City; a brother, Harry E. Urton of Carlisle and seven grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mr. Urton will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Urton will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with burial following in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
