All four Forrest City junior high basketball teams were eliminated from the AAAAA-East District Tournament in first-round action Monday.
The tournament is being played at Forrest City. Monday's first-round games were played at both Mustang Arena and the Barn.
The tournament will resume Wednesday with four semifinal games played at the Arena. The finals will be played Thursday.
In girls' play Monday, fourth-seeded Jonesboro Annie Camp held off the fifth-seeded Forrest City Blue Lady Mustangs 29-24.
Kara Taylor led Annie Camp with nine points while Forrest City's Gabrielle Agnew led all scorers with 14 points.
Forrest City led 6-4 after one period and the two teams went into halftime tied at 9-9 after a couple of lead changes in the second period.
Annie Camp found their shooting touch in the third period, scoring the first six points of the second half to lead 20-15 to start the fourth period.
Forrest City scored the final five points of the game, a two-point field goal by Katrina Wynne and a three-pointer by Agnew, but ran out of time to complete the rally.

FC White Lady Mustangs 30
The White Lady Mustangs, seeded seventh into the tournament bracket led until the fourth period and almost pulled the upset against No. 2 seed Jonesboro MacArthur Monday, before falling 37-30.
Forrest City led 9-7 after one period and 16-15 at the half.
The teams ended the third period locked in a 26-26 tie before MacArthur outscored Forrest City 11-to-4 in the fourth period to get the win.
Shari Rogers scored eight points for Forrest City and Sequoria Grady had seven while Crystal Summage had six points.
Forrest City White ends the year at 5-15.
Junior Boys
WMemphis Wonder 51, FC Blue Mustangs 23
Top-ranked West Memphis Wonder had little trouble against No. 8 Forrest City Blue Monday, rolling to a 51-23 first-round win.
Wonder led 12-6 after one period, 25-11 at the half and 40-15 to start the final frame.
Deangelo "Buck" Braddock led the Blue Mustangs with six points.
Forrest City Blue finishes the year at 3-16.
Blytheville East 47, FC White Mustangs 35
Second-seeded Blytheville East grabbed a 29-12 lead at the half and put away Forrest City White 47-35 Monday.
DeMarcus Sinclair led Forrest City with eight points and Donte Nash had five.
Forrest City ends the year at 5-14.

ELAINE--Curtis Allen scored 12 points and Vince Jones added 11 to lead the fifth-seeded Palestine-Wheatley Junior Patriots to a 38-35 win over No. 4 seed Gillett Monday at the 6AA District Tournament in Elaine.
The Junior Patriots advance to play top-seeded Altheimer Thursday, Feb. 15, at 5:45 p.m.
In other games Monday night, the Marvell junior girls edged Clarendon 33-32 to advance to Thursday's semifinal game against top-seeded Barton at 4:30 p.m.
Marvell's senior boys, seeded fifth, needed overtime to get past Elaine 66-62.
Marvell will take on No. 2 seed Clarendon Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 8:15 p.m., in quarterfinal action.
And in senior girls play Monday, Gillett topped Elaine 50-43.
Gillett will face Barton Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The P-W Lady Patriots, the top seed, earned a bye to Saturday's championship game, which is set to be played at 7 p.m.
Arkansas Razorback Defensive Coordinator John Thompson, will be named "Mr. Mustang" during special ceremonies tonight during the Forrest City-Jacksonville basketball game at Mustang Arena.
Thompson, a Forrest City native, will be honored between the Forrest City senior girls' and senior boys' AAAAA-East Conference basketball game.
Thompson will be in the Arena lobby from 5 until 6:30 p.m., signing autographs and greeting people.
Tonight's two-game set begins at 6 p.m. with the senior girls' game.
