Jane Richardson

Mrs. Jane Richardson, age 77, of Earle, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Johnson Hobson Health Care, in Marion.

Mrs. Richardson was a teller and bookkeeper at Earle State Bank. She was active in community volunteer work for Good Neighbor Center and Heifer Project International. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Earle First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, S.R. Richardson. She is survived by three daughters, Claire Devazier, of Palestine, Shirley Hildebrand, of Fayetteville, and Mary Richarson, of Little Rock; a son, Don Richardson, of Clinton; a sister, Agnes Bilewicz, of Little Rock; a brother, Wesley Ross, of Little Rock and five grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Richardson will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at 10 a.m., in the Earle First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.


Lowell Sitzes

Mr. Lowell Sitzes, age 80, of Memphis, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.

Mr. Sitzes was born on June 18, 1920, in Palestine. He was the son of Noah Sitzes and Nettie Kyzer Sitzes. Mr. Sitzes had lived in Palestine before moving to Memphis. He was retired from sawmill work and was a member of Raleigh Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Sitzes is survived by three sisters, Lela Barthalow, of Bartlett, Tenn., Marilyn Maddox, of Collierville, Tenn. and Evalynn Goodwin, of Forrest City; two brothers, Clivy Sitzes, of Mt. Vernon, Mo. and McRae Sitzes, of Memphis, Tenn.

Funeral services for Mr. Sitzes were held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at the Twin Assembly of God Church in Palestine. The Rev. Ron Woods officiated the service. Burial followed at the Salem Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
