Mr. Ervin W. Johnson, age 84, of Heber Springs, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Lakeland Lodge in Heber Springs.
Mr. Johnson, born May 4, 1916, was the son of Thomas Johnson and Pearl Cullum Johnson. He was a retired service station owner and lived in Heber Springs most of his life. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Heber Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Tapley Johnson, of Heber Springs; two daughters, Barbara Robbins, of West Memphis, Betty Montesi, of Little Rock; a sister, Opal Goff, of Heber Springs and one grandchild.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnson are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at 10 a.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Ron Kelley officiating. Graveside services and burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Olmstead Funeral Home of Heber Springs.
Mrs. Mary Douglas, age 84, of Marianna, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Douglas was a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Berry, of North Little Rock; five sons, Herman Douglas, Melvin Douglas, both of Chicago, Ill., Carl Douglas, of Manhattan, Kan., James Douglas, Fred Douglas, both of Marianna; three sisters, Mary Butler, of St. Louis, Vora Bell Foster, of Oak Forrest, Pearlie Mae Jones, of Marianna; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mrs. Douglas will be Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Douglas will be Saturday Jan. 6, 2001, at noon, at Bethleham M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
