Mary Frances Smith

Mrs. Mary Frances Smith, age 55, of Forrest City, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born in Berkeley, Calif. She lived in Walnut Ridge before moving to Forrest City 10 years ago. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and had an Associates Degree from William Baptist College. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Gary V. Smith, of the home; her parents, Marvin and Irene McAnulty, of Camden; three daughters, Lori Douglas, of Holly Springs, Miss., Kimberly Soper and Jennifer Smith, both of Forrest City; four sisters, Linda McCartner, of Conway, Shirley White, Nancy Massey and Jackie Bell, all of Camden; a brother, Ray McAnulty Jr., of Camden.

A memorial service for Mrs. Smith will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at 11 a.m., at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Forrest City, with Don Marston and David Ramsey officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at 2 p.m., at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Walcott, with Don Marston officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that all memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
