Dollie Mae Bonner

Mrs. Dollie Mae Bonner, age 90, of Forrest City died, Thursday, June 28, 2001, at her home.

Mrs. Bonner, born July 9, 1910, in Kilmilka, Miss., was the daughter of George Williams and Rosie Williams. She was a retired nurses aid with Borden Nursing Home.

Mrs. Bonner is survived by two brothers, Floyd Williams and Leroy Williams, both of Forrest City and two sisters, Lola Johnson of Forrest City and Ruby Jones of St. Louis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bonner were held Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Taylor's Chapel CME Church with Rev. Jesse Brown officiating. Burial followed in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.


Guadalupe Salinas Cano

Mr. Guadalupe Salinas Cano, age 84, of Wynne and a former resident of Widener, died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Crestpark Nursing Home in Wynne.

He was born May 27, 1918 in San Benito, Texas, the son of Juan Balderas and Mary Elena Salinas Cano. He was a farmer for the McCains Farms near Widener for 15 years before retiring. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during both World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by three brothers, Juan Cano of Phoenix, Ariz., Eugene Cano of Houston, Texas and Augustin Cano of Dickinson, Texas and a sister, Angelita Cano of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers, Manuel, Luis and Raymond Cano.

Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2001, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2001, at graveside in Loughridge Cemetery near Colt, with the Rev. Dennis Colvin officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to the Antioch Baptist Church near Wynne. Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
