Mrs. Juanita Martin, age 60, of Forrest City, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis.
Mrs. Martin was born on July 13, 1940, and was the daughter of Jack Sorrells and Emma Hicks Sorrells. She was an employee of Sanyo Manufacturing and she was a Baptist.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Vivian Sorrells and one brother, Lonnie Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Martin of Forrest City; her step-father, Floyd Fisher of Hackett; four sons, Marty Davis of Pennsylvania, Michael Davis of Centerton, Billy Joe Martin and Jerry Wayne Martin, both of Forrest City; four daughters, Kim Breeding of Brinkley, Tammy Brandon of Stuttgart, Lori Cullum of Benton and Linda Leslie of West Memphis; three brothers, Jackie Sorrells of Marianna, Gayland Fisher of Waldron and Benny Fisher of Hackett; six sisters, Agnes McNair of North Dakota, Pauline Ward of Forrest City, Jean Barnes of Louisiana, Winsel Harper of Lexa, Bertha Flaharity of Aubrey and Peggy Casteel of Marianna; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Martin will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Morgan Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Morgan Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Bartley Hillis officiating. Burial will follow at Loughridge Cemetery in Colt under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
