Mr. Ralph M. Aycock, age 84, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.
Mr. Aycock, born April 18, 1917, was the son of Ben Aycock and Agnes Martin Aycock. He was a mechanic and small business owner prior to his retirement. He was also a member of Caldwell Baptist Church.
Mr. Aycock was preceded in death by his first wife, Lola Pritchard and a daughter Jo Ellen Ivy. He is survived by his wife, Claudine Burns Aycock of the home; a son, Al Aycock of Wynne; a daughter, Melba Lynn Early of West Memphis; a sister, Edna Walker of Gosnell; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mr. Aycock will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Morgan Chapel. Funeral services for Mr. Aycock are scheduled for Thursday, June 14, 2001, at 10 a.m. at Morgan Chapel with Bro. Dan Minton officiating, assisted by Bro. Myron Shaw. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
Mr. Joe Keith McCollum, age 67, of Memphis, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, in Memphis.
Mr. McCollum, born Dec. 4, 1933, in Memphis, was the son of B. McCollum Sr. and Lena Hopper McCollum. He lived in the Memphis are for most of his life and was a merchant and a bonds trader.
Mr. McCollum is survived by four daughters; a brother, B. McCollum Jr. of Heth and 10 neices and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. McCollum were held Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at the Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion.
Mr. George Swanigan, age 75, of Forrest City, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Swanigan, born Aug. 3, 1925, in Wheatley, was the son of George Swanigan Sr. and Josephine Neal Swanigan. Mr. Swanigan is survived by a daughter, Josephine Burns of St. Louis, Mo.; a son, Clifton Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Charles Swanigan of Chicago, Ill. and four grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Swanigan will be held Thursday, June 14, from 10:30 a.m. utnil 5:30 p.m. at the chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services for Mr. Swanigan will be held Thursday, June 14, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Burial will be Friday, June 15, at 9 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Wheatley.
