James Carl "Abe" Green

Mr. James Carl "Abe" Green, age 75, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at the Crestpark Nursing Home in Forrest City.

Mr. Green was born May 14, 1926, in Hughes, the son of James and Mary Ann Baty Green. He had been a farmer and worked at the Doc Hardin Sawmill for over 20 years. Mr. Green was a resident of Hunter, prior to moving to Crestpark Nursing Home.

He is survived by one sister, Mamie Hamby of Caldwell.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Johnnie Vaughn and two sisters, Jessie Franks and Pauline Matthewson.

Funeral services for Mr. Green will be Thursday, June 28, 2001, at 2 p.m., at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with Rev. Myron Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Lindsey Cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne and McCrory. The family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.


Geraldine Robinson

Mrs. Geraldine Robinson, age 55, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Forrest City, died Monday, June 18, 2001, in St. Louis.

Mrs. Robinson was born Feb. 12, 1946, in Forrest City, the daughter of Theo and Annie Odean Williams. She was a member of the King Chapel in Forrest City.

She is survived by her mother, Annie Odean Robertson of Forrest City; three daughters, Madelyn Rucker, Nakisha Rucker and Gloria Booker, all of St. Louis, and a brother, Leotis Williams of St. Louis.

Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie Robinson; her father, Theo Williams; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services for Mrs. Robinson were held Friday, June 22, 2001, at Wade Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in St. Louis with Rev. Eddie Morris officiating. Burial followed in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Wade Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
