It's back to the Sports Complex.
Tonight's schedule of youth baseball and softball games at Forrest City will be played, according to Kenneth Taylor, the program's director.
The leagues suffered through another rain out Thursday.
Taylor had his crews at the complex early today to get the fields ready for play.
"We can't afford any more rain outs," Taylor said. "We are already backed up."
The T-Ball League has one rain out date to make up while the Minor League (pitching machine) has been rained out of four playing dates.
The Bambino (9-10) League has been rained out three times while the Junior babe Ruth League has lost three playing dates.
The girls' softball leagues has had only one rain out so far.
The 10-under slow pitch league will feature a showdown tonight between the two remaining unbeaten teams -- Sanyo and Title Company.
Both teams are 7-0 and will face each other for the first time this season at 8 p.m., on Field 2.
In the Bambino (11-12) League, the co-leaders will hook up at 6 p.m. when Rotary Club and Cochran Auto play at 6 p.m. on Field 5.
Both teams are 5-1 for the year.
JONESBORO--Forrest City's American Legion baseball team did not have much luck against Jonesboro's AAA club Tuesday night at Nettleton's Raider Field and things got no better Wednesday against the A Ricemen.
A night after Jonesboro's AAA club ripped Forrest City 19-2 in seven innings, the younger Ricemen whipped Forrest City 11-1 in six innings, then crushed the visitors 21-0 in a game shortened to three innings as they improved to 5-0 on the season.
Jonesboro hammered out 25 hits on the night as a team. Andy Bettis went 3-for-5 with a home run and five runs batted in to lead the way for the Ricemen. Jeff McKnight also went 3-for-4 in the opening game, but did not play in game two.
In the opener, Jonesboro got all the runs it would need with a three-run bottom of the first against Forrest City starter Marcus Hancock.
Bettis had a two-run single after McKnight led off with a bunt single, Cory Chastain walked and Cody Fry also reached when Hancock could not field his bunt cleanly to load the bases.
After Bettis' hit, Clif Baxter was hit by a pitch to put runners at first and third. Drew Copeland then plated the third run of the frame with a fielder's choice groundout.
The Ricemen ended the opener with three runs in the sixth as Bettis hit a one-out solo homer for a 9-1 lead. Baxter then singled, Copeland reached on an error and Jonathan Martin walked to load the bases.
Jonesboro ended the game as Jason Dillon's grounder bounded off the first baseman's glove and into short right field as two runs scored for the 10-run margin.
Forrest City committed eight errors in the game.
The Ricemen made sure Forrest City had no chance in the nightcap.
Jonesboro sent 11 batters to the plate and scored five times in the bottom of the first to take control, then put together an incredible 16-run second while sending 22 batters to the plate.
Blackburn also picked up the pitching win for Jonesboro, allowing one hit in two innings of work. Dillon also pitched a scoreless third.
