Mrs. Delores Swearengin Hinton, age 54, of Hunter, died Monday, March 12, 2001 at her home.
Mrs. Hinton was a 1964 graduate of Brinkley High School and was a former employee of American Greeting in McCrory.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Hinton of Hunter; two daughters, Michelle Estopian of Southhaven, Miss. and Lana Cosner of Hunter; two brothers, Bill Swearengin of Forrest City and Murray Swearengin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Grace Denton of Wynne and three grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hinton will be Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Brinkley with Reverends James Wiggins and Cecelia Dilday officiating. Burial will follow in Hunter Cemetery with Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
The family requests memorials be made to the Cancer Research Center, UAMS, in Little Rock.
Mr. George H. Martin, age 79, of Baton Rouge, La., died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Lakewood Health Care Facility in Baton Rouge, La.
Mr. Martin was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Wynne. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and he was the retired owner of Electric Motor Repair Company in Baton Rouge, La.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Perdzock Martin.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda M. Garrett of Atlanta, Ga., Annette Weidenfeller of Dallas, Texas and Mary Jane Lea of Conyers, Ga; a son, Tom Martin of Baton Rouge, La and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Martin were held on Monday, March 12, 2001, at the McPeters Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, La. Burial followed in Henry Cemetery under the direction of McPeters Funeral Home.
Mrs. Zella Lorene Ross, age 81, formerly of Forrest City, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at the White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Mrs. Ross was born on Oct. 30, 1919, in Augusta. She was the daughter of Thomas Brown and Girtrude Poole Balch. She lived in Forrest City until moving to Pangburn in 1995. Mrs. Ross was retired from Sanyo Manufacturing.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Farrar Kerby of Pangburn; a son, Donald Farrar of California; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at 2:30 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Helena with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
