Edward G. Mullin

Edward G. Mullin, age 78, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, in Indian Trail, N.C.

Mr. Mullin, a native of Colt, moved to Hernando, Miss., in 1969 and resided there until January, 2000, when he moved to North Carolina. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and was retired from General Electric. Following his retirement Mr. Mullin counseled people about the U.S. Constitution.

Mr. Mullin is survived by two sons, Eddie Mullin and Robert Mullin both of Hernando, Miss.; two daughters, Mary Graham of Indian Trail, NC and Rita Brown of Hernando, Miss.; a sister, Arminta Kerr of Horseshoe Bend; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are not yet complete.


Joyce Lynn Bradley Pentecost

Mrs. Joyce Lynn "BoBo" Bradley Pentecost, age 39, of Forrest City, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at her home.

Mrs. Pentecost was born May 1, 1962, in Memphis and was the daughter of Charles Bradley and Peggy Gross Bradley. She lived in Marianna most of her life. Mrs. Pentecost lived in Bossier City, La., for eight years prior to moving to Forrest City last year. She attended First Baptist Church in Forrest City and was in the Gospel Music Ministries. Mrs. Pentecost was a graduate of Calvary Christian School and had attended Ouachita Baptist University.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Wayne Pentecost of Forrest City; a son, Colten Bradley Pentecost of the home; a daughter, Jordan DeSha Pentecost of the home; her father and step-mother, Charles and Lois Bradley of Marianna and one brother, Wendell Bradley of Forrest City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pentecost were held Sunday, May 6, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Burial followed in the Upper Cemetery in Brinkley under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

The family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Bossier, 2810 Texas St., Bossier City, La., 71111-3799, or to Calvary Christian School, 1611 North Washington St., Forrest City, Ar. 72335.


Horace Robinson Sr.

Mr. Horace Robinson Sr., age 72, of Widener, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.

Mr. Robinson, born July 14, 1928, in Brickeys was the son of Charlie Robinson and Lula Mae Thompson Robinson.

Mr. Robinson is survived by two daughters, Loretta Robinson of Hughes and Rosella Rucker of Forrest City; four sons, Larry Robinson of Heth, Horace Robinson Jr. of Widener, Ray Charles Robinson and Sammie Robinson, both of Hughes; four sisters, Rachael White of Marion, Ind., Lillie Greer, Lounettie Nalls and Quilla Bobo all of Chicago, Ill.; a brother Charlie Robinson of Marion, Ind.; 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Robinson will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2001, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at 1 p.m. at New Bethel M.B. Church in Blackfish with Elder Nathanael Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery near Heth under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.


Deedra Delores Rosamond

Ms. Deedra Delores Rosamond, age 35, of Memphis died Saturday, May 5, 2001, in her home.

Ms. Rosamond, a travel consultant, was the daughter of Joe Rosamond and Angela Rosamond, both of Forrest City. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis and was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Forrest City She is survived by her parents and a sister Desiree Rosamond of Memphis.

A memorial service for Ms. Rosamond was held today, Monday, May 7, 2001, at noon at Wilson Chapel in Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis.

The family requests that memorial be sent to Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis, First United Methodist Church in Forrest City or Angel Flight.


Dorothey June Throgmartin

Mrs. Dorothey June Throgmartin, age 64, of Hickory Flat, Miss., died Thursday, May 3, 2001, in her home.

Mrs. Throgmartin, born June 13, 1936, in Athens, Ala., to Everett Hartsell and Rosa Lee Lawrence Chambers. Mrs. Throgmartin lived in Proctor until moving to Hickory Flat, Miss two years ago. She was a housewife and a member of the Faith Assembly of God in Myrtle, Miss.

Mrs. Throgmartin was preceded in death by her husband, Leman Throgmartin in 1997; a son, Stephen Lee Throgmartin in 2001; a brother; nine half brothers and half sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Rachael Ann May of Hickory Flat, Miss.; three sons, Danny Ray Throgmartin of Montgomery, Ala., Donald Gene Throgmartin of Proctor and Michael Timothy Throgmartin of Hickory Flat, Miss.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 5, 2001, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Fred Parker officiating. Burial followed in Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.


Andrew Charles "Andy" Weiner

Mr. Andrew Charles "Andy" Weiner, age 33, of Gurdon, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Hot Springs.

Mr. Weiner was born Sept. 7, 1967, in Memphis to Charles A. and Mary Margaret Miller Weiner.

He is survived by his father, Charles A. Weiner of Arkadelphia; his mother, Mary Margaret Weiner of Forrest City; a sister, Erika Weiner of Hot Springs; a maternal grandfather, Thomas H. Miller of Memphis and a paternal grandmother, Louise Weiner of Arkadelphia.

There will be a family hour Monday, May 7, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, 2001, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis. Funeral services for Mr. Weiner will be Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Arkadelphia, with Father Linus Ukomadu officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at 10:30 a.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.
