Mr. Ben T. Hamilton Sr., aged 83, of Forrest City, died Friday, Nov 2, 2001, at his home.
Services for Mr. Hamilton will be held graveside at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Forrest Park Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mattie Mae Hill, aged 81, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City.
She was born July 24, 1920, in Mississippi, and was the daughter of Ernest Perkins and Carrie Perkins. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was retired from Reltoc and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
In 1934, she married Charles Marshall "Jack" Hill, who preceded her in death in 1983. She is survived by six sons, William Hill, James Hill and David Hill, all of Forrest City, Charles Hill of Colorado, Jackie Hill of Tennessee and Jimmy Hill of Hot Springs; four daughters, Dorothy Smith of Illinois, Evelyn Eldridge of Forrest City, Margaret Richmond of Benton and Diane White of Batesville; a sister, Dorothy McKaskle of Malvern; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. One son, Jerry Hill, preceded her in death in 1994.
Visitation will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services for Mrs. Hill will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at 2 p.m., with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorials be made to Faith Baptist Church, 2733 Highway 334, Forrest City.
