Mr. Albert "Al" Haag, age 78, of Parkin, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, in the VA Medical Center in Memphis.
Mr. Haag, born June 12, 1923, in Louisville, Ky., was the son of Albert Christian Haag and Lula Burton Haag. Mr. Haag had worked as a supervisor with Warwick Industries in several locations, including Forrest City, and also served as a supervisor with Sanyo. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Parkin and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Haag is survived by his wife, Geordia Lessenberry Haag of Parkin; two sons, Michael Willbanks of Conway and Alan D. Haag of Elizabeth, Ind.; three daughters, Cindy Donathan of Russellville, Cathy Hendrickson of Conway and Berta McMahon of Forrest City; a sister, Rose Gates of Louisville; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Haag will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services for Mr. Haag will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne with Rev. Ron Feezer officiating. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion under the direction of Kernodle Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
