Mr. Danny Guy "Doodle" Emerson, age 43, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Emerson, born Dec. 1, 1957, in Forrest City, is the son of Billy Guy and Jean Chism Emerson. He was a Forrest City resident all of his life, where he was a graduate of Forrest City High School. He received a B.S.E. from the University of Central Arkansas and worked in construction for the family business, Emerson Construction Company. He was also a Baptist.
Mr. Emerson is survive by his parents; his paternal grandmother, Opal Wallace Emerson of Forrest City; two brothers, Barry A. Emerson of Wynne and Joey "Cricket" Emerson of Forrest City.
Visitation for Mr. Emerson will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside, Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery with Rev. Dan Minton officiating the service. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
