Norah "Jack" Dawson

Mr. Norah "Jack" Dawson, aged 91, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.

Mr. Dawson, born Dec. 15, 1909 in Forrest City, was the son of Norah Dawson Sr. and Fruzzie Turner Dawson. He was an employee of Woodhouse Mortuary for 15 years where he served as a funeral attendant.

Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his wife Annie Mae Parker Dawson and is survived by a sister, Mattie Fleming of Gary, Ind. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held, Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Summerfield M.B. Church with Rev. Willie Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.


Marshall Ford Fussell

Mr. Marshall Ford Fussell, age 75, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Forrest City.

Mr. Fussell was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Forrest City and was the son of James V. Fussell and Mildred Ford Fussell. He was a salesman, a graduate of the University of Arkansas in 1948 and a Presbyterian.

Mr. Fussell is survived by a son, Marty Fussell of Little Rock; a daughter, Michelle Keller of Little Rock and a grandson.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Fussell will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at 2 p.m., at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.


Elton Bernard Rogers

Mr. Elton Bernard Rogers, age 37, of Sherman Oak, Calif., died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at his home in California.

Mr. Rogers was born June 6, 1964, in Forrest City and was the son of Floyd Rogers of Forrest City and Mertha Bridges Williams of St. Louis, Mo. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his parents; a brother, Michael Rogers of Forrest City; five sisters, Pamela Rogers, Ella Rogers, Doris Rogers and Yoshilda Williams, all of St. Louis, Mo. and Leatha Cross of Forrest City; and a grandmother, Ideltra Beacham of Youngstown, Ohio.

Visitation for Mr. Rogers will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001, at Brown Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m., at Stanley Grove Cemetery in Caldwell with Rev. Verlee Lucas officiating the service under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Pine Bluff.
