Mr. James Houston Sr., age 92, of Marianna, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at the Helena Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Houston, a retired custodian, is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Houston Lloyd of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, James Houston Jr., of Marianna; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2002, at the St. Luke A.M.E. Church in Marianna. Burial will be in the Paradise Gardens Cemetery in Edmonson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2002, at the J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel in Marianna.
Mrs. Gussie Jennings, age 91, of Marianna, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at the Helena Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Jennings was a member of St. John M.B. Church in Felton, is survived by two nieces, Justine Wesley and Wanda Morganfield, both of St. Louis, Mo.
Visitation services for Mrs. Jennings will be held, Friday, April 12, 2002, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Jennings will be held, Saturday, April 13, 2002, at noon at St. John M.B. Church in Felton with Rev. Spencer Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
