Mrs. Frances Louise Meeks, age 80, of Memphis, died Saturday, April 13, 2002, at her home.
She was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Colt, the daughter of James and Nona Clayton Taylor. She was a housewife and a Protestant.
In 1939, Mrs. Meeks married James Sidney Meeks, and he preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Taylor, and a sister, Dolly Collins.
Survivors include four sons, George Meeks of Palestine, Lewis Meeks of Caldwell, Terry Meeks of Kansas and Kenny Meeks of Searcy; two daughters, Ann Parsley and Patty Fryer, both of Memphis; two brothers, Wimpy Taylor of Caldwell and Billy Joe Taylor of Reidsville, N.C.; one sister, Virginia Haynes of Palestine; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Meeks were held at 10 a.m. today, April 15, 2002, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel in Forrest City with Bro. Terry Meeks officiating. Burial was in Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
