Joy Brawner Neisler, age 83, of Colt, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at the St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born April 29, 1918, in Palestine. Mrs. Neisler lived most of her life in St. Francis and Cross counties. She retired from the Cross County Hospital in 1990 after 24 years of service. She was a member of the Cross County Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Fitzgerald Baptist Church in Wynne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Neisler in 1983; her father, Luther Odis Brawner; her mother, Edna Zula Pearson Brawner and two brothers, Odis Brawner and Luther Brawner Jr.
Survivors include four sons, Jerry Bob Neisler of Elgin Ill., Walter Ray Neisler and Carroll Glenn Neisler, both of Wynne and Donald Edwin Neisler of Colt; one daughter, Joyce Annette Jetton of Wynne; three brothers, Grady Brawner and George Brawner, both of Colt and J.L. Brawner of Wynne; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday April 18, 2002, at the Kernodle Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with Rev. Ellis Jones officiating. Burial will be in Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Kernodle Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Fitzgerald Baptist Church in Wynne.
Mrs. Irene Hughes Price, age 91, of West Memphis, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.
Mrs. Price, born Dec. 29, 1910, was a homemaker and a resident of Widener for most of her life. She was a Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Price. She is survived by a son, Charles S. Price of West Memphis and a grandson.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lytha Juanita Wilburn, age 66, of Forrest City, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Wilburn, born Dec. 30, 1935 in Foreman, was a retired teacher's assistant at Central Elementary School in Forrest City and a member of Salem M.B. Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. Wilburn is survived by her husband, Roosevelt Wilburn, of the home; her mother, Cora Hooks, of Forrest City; two sons, Jackie Hooks, of Tulsa, Okla., and Barry Wilburn of Forrest City; a daughter, Beverly Wilburn, of Euless, Texas; seven sisters, Virda Polite and Ida Favors, both of Tulsa, Okla., Corarine Malone of Long Beach, Calif., Mammie Jones of Bristow, Okla., Kathrine Siggers of St. Louis, Mo., Betty Isabel and Alberta Stewart, both of Forrest City; five brothers, Mose Hooks of North Little Rock, Walter Hooks of Texarkana, Texas, Charles Hooks of Rancho Cuecamunga, Calif., Bill Hooks of Blue Springs, Mo., and Gene Hooks of Bristow, Okla.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation services for Mrs. Wilburn will be held, Wednesay, April 17, 2002, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilburn will be held, Thursday, April 18, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Salem M.B. Church with Rev. Eddie Mosby officiating. Burial will follow at Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
