Mr. Floyd Wilson Laird, age 83, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
He was born June 29, 1918, in Black Rock, the son of Homer Edward and Mittie Delphia Smith Laird. He was a retired lineman for Woodruff Electric, and he attended the First Assembly of God Church in Forrest City.
In 1949, Mr. Laird married Teewahnee Grayhorse. She survives him along with two sons, Eddie Laird and Kevin Laird, both of Forrest City; three daughters, Floyetta Hambrick of Forrest City, Melissa Callahan of Colt and Renee Shelton of Tennessee; one sister, Lala Parrish of Walnut Ridge; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Mr. Laird will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J. W. Hyrons of Wynne officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
