Timmie T. Cross, age 16, of Forrest City, formerly of Hughes, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, in Earle.
He is survived by his aunt and guardian, Teresa Bobo of Forrest City.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m Friday, April 19, 2002, at the Anthony Funeral Home Chapel in Anthonyville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Rising Sun M.B. Church in Hughes with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Widener under the direction of Anthony Funeral Home.
Mr. Floyd Wilson Laird, age 83, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
He was born June 29, 1918, in Black Rock, the son of Homer Edward and Mittie Delphia Smith Laird. He was a retired lineman for Woodruff Electric, and he attended the First Assembly of God Church in Forrest City. He was also a decorated World War II veteran.
In 1949, Mr. Laird married Teewahnee Grayhorse. She survives him along with two sons, Eddie Laird and Kevin Laird, both of Forrest City; three daughters, Floyetta Hambrick of Forrest City, Melissa Callahan of Colt and Renee Shelton of Tennessee; one sister, Lala Parrish of Walnut Ridge; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Mr. Laird will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J. W. Hyrons of Wynne officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Irene Hughes Price, age 91, of West Memphis, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at the Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.
Mrs. Price was born Dec. 29, 1910, in Caldwell, the daughter of Charlie E. Hughes and Mattie Akin Hughes. She lived in Widener most of her life before moving to West Memphis, and was a housewife. She was a member of the Caldwell Baptist Church and attended the Widener United Methodist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and pianist for over 40 years.
Mrs. Price married Edgar Price in 1930, and he preceded her in death in 1988.
Survivors include one son, Charles S. Price of West Memphis; one grandson and a host of other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, April 18, 2002, at Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to the Caldwell Baptist Church, the Widener Baptist Church or the Widener United Methodist Church.
Mr. Larry Allen Webb, age 58, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Webb was born Dec. 25, 1943, in Parkin, the son of John Wesley Webb and Birdie Mask Turner. He lived in Mississippi most of his life and was in construction.
Survivors include one son, Larry Myroth of Ohio; four brothers, Kenny Webb of Illinois, Bobby Webb of Texas, John Webb and Luther Webb, both of Pontotoc, Miss.; and three sisters, Lois Fleming, Joyce Swords and Sonya Ferguson, all of Pontotoc, Miss.
Visitation will be held tonight, April 18, 2002, at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Webb will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jessie Woodruff, age 88, of Moro, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, in Forrest City.
She was born March 8, 1914, the daughter of Robert Wilson and Rosa Kilgore. She was a member of the Wall Chapel Baptist Church and a retail grocer.
Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Ballard and Sue Pullman, both of Marianna, and Carolyn Rowton of Forrest City; one son, Jim Woodruff of Little Rock; four brothers, Leo Wilson and Robert Wilson, both of Fairfield Bay, Lloyd Wilson of Cabot and James Wilson of Beebe; two sisters, Fluella Key of Moro and Louise Goacher of West Memphis; 12 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Woodruff and a son, Bobby Woodruff.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at the Wall Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna.
