Mr. Ben Junior Boozer Sr., age 72, of Heth, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the V.A. Regional Medical Center in Memphis.
Mr. Boozer was a retired iron worker and a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Ruth Boozer of Heth; one daughter, Barbara Jewell Brown of Marion; one son, Ben J. Boozer Jr., of Heth; one sister, Ruth Williams of Greers Ferry; two brothers, Fred Boozer of Mayflower and Bob Boozer of Conway and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with burial to follow in Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City.
Mrs. Odessa Busby, age 81, of Marianna, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center.
Mrs. Busby was born April 2, 1921, in Marianna. She was a retired seamstress, and is survived by two sisters, Theressa Ramey of Marianna and Maxine Gates of Haynes.
Visitation services for Mrs. Busby will be held today, April 19, 2002, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Busby will be held Saturday, April 20, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Spring Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Cedric Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Gill Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
Mr. James Floyd Vest Sr., age 67, of Palestine, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Vest was born July 26, 1934, in St. Francis County, the son of Charlie Vest, and his stepfather Roy Sherrell and his mother, Ruby Chapman Sherrell, who preceded him in death last year.
Mr. Vest married Charlene Hawk in 1955, and she survives him along with three daughters, Charlotte Ketchum of Russellville and Terry Hobson and Tina Getchell, both of Palestine; one son, James Floyd Vest Jr. of Clinton; two sisters, Evelyn Britton and Barbara Goodwin, both of Forrest City; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. W.L. Prentice and Bro. Alan Jumper officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery in Palestine.
Rev. John D. Webb, age 77, of Forrest City, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Forrest City.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Mr. Webb will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2002, at the Madison Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2002, at the Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashland, Miss.
