Mrs. Dorothy McCoy Golden, age 90, of Memphis, formerly of Forrest City, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at the Heartland Nursing Home in Memphis.
She was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Alabama. She was a retired farmer.
Survivors include one daughter, Bertha Golden of Memphis; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Clay Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at the Forrest City Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2002, with Rev. Uzziah Duncan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
Mr. Anthony "Champ" Holloway, age 62, of Forrest City, formerly of Marianna, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Holloway was born July 14, 1939, in Aubrey. He was a retired mechanic.
Survivors include his stepmother, Priscilla Holloway of Pullman, Mich.; two daughters, Mary Holloway of the home and Sarah Cochran of Forest City; four sons, Anthony Holloway Jr., of Mesquite, Texas, Andre' Smith of Chicago, Mark Holloway of Minneapolis, Minn. and Darrell Holloway of Forrest City; eight sisters, Gloria Bradley of Benton Harbor, Mich., Shirley Holloway of Lemon Grove, Calif., Lena Perry of Spring Valley, Calif., Geraldine Holloway of Pullman, Mich., Velma Randoff of Little Rock, Sarah Isom of Oakland, Calif., and Willie Mae Whitaker and Martha Whitaker, both of Marianna; 11 brothers, Andrew Holloway of Grand Rapids, Mich., Calvin Holloway, Steve Holloway and Donald Holloway, all of Pullman, Mich., Kenneth Holloway of Indianapolis, Ind., Lloyd Holloway of Chicago, Joe Dean Holloway of Ruliville, Miss., James Whitaker Jr., Charles Whitaker and Alexander Whitaker, all of Marianna, and Lawrence Whitaker of Memphis and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Whitaker; his father, Leonard Holloway Sr., and two brothers, Leonard Holloway Jr.,and Paul Whitaker.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Clay Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2002, at the Rising Sun M.B. Church with Rev. John H. Strong officiating. Burial will be in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
Mrs. Annie Miller Mena, age 57, of Brickeys, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.
Mrs. Mena was born March 2, 1945, the daughter of Sam Ed and Elvia Davis Miller of Carlisle. She was a homemaker and member of Yorktown Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, David Mena of Brickeys; one son, Michael Wilkerson of Dermott; one daughter, Stacey Minor of Little Rock; one brother, William Miller of Star City; five sisters, Cartheda Lackey and Audrey Edwards, both of Dumas, Virginia Earnest of Sheridan and Ann Corder and Sue Byerly, both of Star City; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, J.T. Miller and Kenneth Miller; and two sisters, Louise Gates and Margaret Gulutzo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Monday, April 22, 2002, at the Griffin Funeral Service Chapel in Star City with Bro. Frank Matchett officiating. Burial was in the Holly Springs Cemetery near Star City under the direction of Griffin Funeral Service of Star City.
Mrs. Sarah A. Milton, age 69, of Forrest City, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Milton was born Oct. 10, 1932, in Sledge, Miss., the daughter of Clarence Collier Partain and Nellie Mae Murphy Partain. She made her home in Forrest City most of her life where she was a housewife and a member of the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Colt.
Mrs. Milton married Elbert L. Milton in 1950, and he survives her along with one daughter, Gale Vaughn of Forrest City; one son, Curtis E. Milton of Forrest City; two sisters, Virginia McCollum of Colt and Ella Jean Herring of Sardis, Miss.; two brothers, Charles Partain of Byhalia, Miss., and John Partain of Water Valley, Miss.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Elbert Edward Milton in 1970.
Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Clara Enda Smith Moore, age 98, of Wynne, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, in Wynne.
Mrs. Moore was born June 25, 1903, in Johnson County, in the Ozark Mountains, where she lived before moving to Cross County. She was the daughter of James Rufus and Mary Harland Smith.
Mrs. Moore worked in farming for many years with her husband, Benjamin Albert Moore, who preceded her in death in 1985. She was an active member of the Ellis Faith Assembly Church in the Jolly Ellis Community near Wynne. She also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin Troy Moore and Raymond Clifford Moore and three grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis McKee and Thelma Loyd, both of Wynne; 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with Rev. Elzie Frazier officiating. Burial was in the Barnishaw Cemetery in Pine Tree under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Ellis Faith Assembly.
Mrs. Jessamine Turner Norton, age 86, of Forrest City, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, in Little Rock.
She was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Earle, the daughter of Renfro Turner and Elise Ford Turner. She made her home in Forrest City most of her life where she was a housewife and a member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was the first woman Deacon and Elder of the Church. She was a charter member of the Forrest City Junior Auxiliary, a member of the Garden Club and a graduate of Arkansas College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, N.M. Norton in 1986.
Survivors include one son, N.M. Norton Jr., of Little Rock; one daughter, Lisa Yocum of Little Rock; one sister, Ella Femal of Houston; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City.
Rev. John D. Webb, age 77, of Forrest City, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Rev. Webb was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Ashland, Miss., the son of William F. Webb Sr., and Abbie Poff Webb.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Pacific and European Theaters. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He taught school for 30 years in the Forrest City Public Schools. He served in the ministry for 50 years.
In 1948, he married Ella Stufka, and she survives him along with two sons, Tom Webb of Searcy and Johnny Webb of Lucy, Tenn.; one brother, William F. Webb Jr., of Ashland, Miss.; one sister, Lucille Jordan of Ashland, Miss.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Mr. Webb were held Sunday, April 21, 2002, at the Madison Baptist Church. A graveside service was held today, Monday, April 22, 2002, at the Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashland, Miss., under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
