Mr. Cornelius Graham, aged 76, of Madison, died, Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis.
Mr. Graham is survived by a brother, Julius Graham, of Covert, Mich.
Funeral services were held at J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 27, 2002, with burial following in Madison Cemetery with Pastor Morland Brown officiating. J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Helena Rogers, 54, of Rockford, Ill., died Saturday, April 20, 2002 in Rockford. She was a housewife.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her parents, Mildred and Glispie Peoples; three daughters, Terna Walker, Earnestine Rogers and Tammy Rogers, all of Rockford; a son, Jimmy Rogers; four sisters, Mildred Holliman of Rockford, and Mary Ayers, Mattie Peoples and Willie Johnson, all of Forrest City; a brother, James Bailey; 16 grandchildren and a number of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, 2002 in Widener with burial following in Forrest City Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Melva Wallis, aged 83, of Forrest City, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at her home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1918, the daughter of Frank L. Cox Sr. and Laura Ann Burroughs Cox. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was retired from Arkansas Power and Light, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
In 1949, she married William P. "Bill" Wallis, who preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by a brother, Frank L. Cox Jr. of Tulsa, Okla., and a number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Wallis will be Tuesday, April 30, 2002, from 6-8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
