Mr. Virdo Jordan, age 92, of Wynne, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne.
Mr. Jordan, formerly of Palestine, was born Sept. 22, 1909, in Alicefield, Ala. He was a retired farmer is survived by five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Jordan were held today, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Clay Funeral Home with Rev. Uzziah Duncan officiating. Burial followed in Elcannon Cemetery in Palestine under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
Mr. Howard A. "Bud" Williamson, age 90, of Wheatley, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at his home in Wheatley.
Mr. Williamson, former mayor of Wheatley, was a retired farmer and a member of the Wheatley Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary "Sissy" Ellis Williamson of the home; a son, Steve Williamson of Brinkley; two daughters, Anne Butcher of Cotton Plant and Pat Loewer of Brinkley; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Williamson were held at Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, 11 a.m. at Wheatley Methodist Church with Rev. Kavan Dodson and Rev. Wilbert Feagan officiating. Burial services will be held in Johnston Cemetery under the direction of Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home of Brinkley.
