Mr. John E. Gist, age 67, of Marianna, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002 at the VA Medical Center in Memphis.
Mr. Gist was a crane operator and is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Gist; one son, LeShun Gist of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Shelia Gist and Denise Gist both of Chicago, Ill., and JoNette Gist of Calif.; his mother, Dolly Kelly and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Gist will be held Friday, Aug. 9, 2002 at J.E. Kennedy Chapel from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002 at Pilgram M. B. Church at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Sequell Cemetery, under the direction of J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home.
