Mrs. Virgie Johnson, age 76, of Horseshoe Lake, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
Mrs. Johnson, a homemaker, was the wife of the late Quitman Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Johnsey of Corinth, Miss., and Linda Thaxton of Widener; two brothers, Tom Cooley of Batesville and Joe Cooley of Joiner; five grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mrs. Johnson will be held Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
