Mrs. Martha Lue Keysacker, age 93, of Colt, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Keysacker was born March 12, 1909, in Golden, Miss., the daughter of James Marion Holley and Betty Lucinda Forman Holley. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Mrs. Keysacker is survived by two sons, Morris Hulan Keysacker of Mayflower, William Leonard Keysacker of Colt; four daughters, Birtie Mae Watlington of Colt, Mary Lou Crane of Little Rock, Martha Jeanne Busby and Barbara Ann Starkey both of Forrest City; 34 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was precded in death by her husband, Hulan Keysacker; two sons, James Keysacker and Albert Keysacker; a grandchild, Juanita Watlington; and five sisters, Mary Halfacre, Francis Hudson, Offie Hudson, Lillie Bell MaGarity and Nacy Hart.
Visitation for Mrs. Keysacker will be held on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, From 6 to 8 p.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne. Burial will follow in Akins Cemetery in Vanndale, with Rev. John Latham and Rev. Allen Cowan officiating.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Pine Tree Baptist Church.
Mr. J.B. "Mack" McKinney, age 81, of Wynne and formerly of Colt, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at the Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne.
Mr. McKinney was born July 2, 1921, in Cotton Plant, the son of John Benton McKinney and Uni Tippet McKinney. He was a truck driver with Gordon Transport Company for 40 years, a clutch salesman. Also, he was a member of the Shriners, a master of the Masonic Lodge in Wynne and a veteran of United States Marines and Army, and a veteran of World War II.
Mr. McKinney married Mary Jo Young in 1951, and she survives him along with two sons, Danny McKinney of Wynne, Terry McKinney of Garner, N.C.; five daughters, Mickey Watson of Forrest City, Jeannie Chadwick of Bentonville, Mary Wicker of Greenville, Ga., Phyllis Norman of Coldwater, Miss., Reba Claunch of Chattanooga, Tenn; one sister, Jean Malcolm of Whitmore Lake, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. McKinney was held on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne, with Bro. Wilbur Howton officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Memphis.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Masonic Lodge in Wynne.
Mrs. Alafa Maxine Miller, age 83, formerly of Beedeville, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Crestpark in Forrest City.
Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 10, 1919, the daughter of Sidney and Mary Louise Kettle Proctor. She was a nutritionist and a member of the Church of Christ in Beedeville.
Mrs. Miller is survived by one son, Milburn Miller of Haynes; one daughter, Edna Faye Wiggins of California; one brother, Jean Wallace Proctor of Delaware; six sisters, Hennetta Pinkney, Dorothy Roy and Edwene Packard all of Kansas City, Mo., Mary Lou Murphy of Little Rock, Barbara Ann McCall of California, Sidney Sue Norveil of Hickory Ridge, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Miller in 1966 and a son, Bud Miller in 2002.
Visitation for Mrs. Miller was held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at the Beedeville Church of Christ with Jim Hamblin officiating. Burial followed at Eight Mile Cemetery in Beedeville.
