Essie Mae Anderson

Mrs. Essie Mae Anderson, age 77, of Forrest City, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Crestpark Retirement Inn of Forrest City.

Mrs. Anderson was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Durant, Miss., and was a retired housekeeper.

She is survived by four sons, Samuel Lucas of Jonesboro, Lindsey Anderson of Little Rock, Floyd Patton and David Anderson, both of Forrest City; five daughters, Ann Malone, Parmon Malone and Ora Dale Hinton, all of West Memphis, Ruthie Patton of Forrest City and Mary Stringfellow of Conway; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, from 3 to 4 p.m., at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at 11 a.m., at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Felix Duckworth officiating the service. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.


Truel Ray Shipley

Mr. Truel Ray Shipley, age 83, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at his home.

Mr. Shipley was boen May 12, 1918, in Leachville, and was the son of John Wesley Shipley Sr. and Maude Dunn Shipley. He lived in St. Francis County most of his life, was retired from Eaton-Yale Industries, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended the Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Shipley and Hubbert Shipley; and one sister, Ella Hawk.

Mr. Shipley married Cahtherine Perry in 1949, and she survives him, along with two sons, Larry Shipley of North Little Rock and Jerry Shipley of Marion; two daughters, Diane Busby of Forrest City and Carolyn Milholen of Hot Springs; three sisters, Bertha Romine, Stella Fay Shields and Marcell Reeves; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Shipley will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at 2 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Baptist Homecare and Hospice.

Miss Michelle Denice Swanigan, age 31, of Forrest City, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Forrest City.

Miss Swanigan was born July 13, 1970 in Hughes, and was a secretary.

She is survived by two sons, Travis Antonio Dobbins and Michael Devonta Hilliard, both of Forrest City; a daughter, Matisha Carlnese Dobbins of Forrest City; her mother, Anna R. Collins of Forrest City; a brother, Eddie Collins of Forrest City and a sister, Stephanie Woodard of Forrest City.

Visitation for Miss Swanigan will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, from 12 to 5 p.m., at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Miss Swanigan will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at 2 p.m., at United Christian M.B. Church with Rev. Norris Latham Jr. officiating the service. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.


Michelle Denice Swanigan

Miss Michelle Denice Swanigan, age 31, of Forrest City, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Forrest City.

Miss Swanigan was born July 13, 1970 in Hughes, and was a secretary.

A.C. Wilson

Mr. A.C. Wilson, age 73, of Trumann, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, in Trumann.

Mr. Wilson was born March 5, 1928 in Manila, and was the son of the late Ernest and Onie Martin Wilson. He was a retired industrial worker, a Baptist, and lived in Trumann for over 40 years.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Margaret L. Frazier Wilson of the home; a daughter, Celia Campbell of Trumann; a brother, Alvin Wilson of Forrest City; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation for Mr. Wilson will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at 10 a.m., at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel Funeral Home, with Bro. Murray Ray officiating the service. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
