Mr. Jackson Curtright, age 62, of Wynne, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Mr. Curtright was born Dec. 28, 1939 in Brinkley, and was the son of the late Willard Richard Curtright and Annie Mae Ellen Waggle Curtright. He was owner and operator of Jack's Office Equipment in Wynne and had worked as a printer for the Brinkley Argus newspaper and Flynt Office Supply Co. in Wynne. Mr. Curtright was an elder at the Faith Lutheran Church in Forrest City and was a former member of the Arkansas National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Faith Frese Curtright of Wynne; three daughters, Anna Marie Curtright Robinette of Sandy, Utah, Kristy Michelle Curtright McKnight and Jessica Leigh Curtright, both of Wynne; two sisters, Eva Louise Cox and Shirley Ann Stacey, both of Searcy; and two grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Curtright will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Kernodle Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Curtright will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at 1 p.m., at Faith Lutheran Church in Forrest City, with Rev. Leland Elwood Bush officiating the service. Burial will follow in Crosslawn Cemetery in Wynne under the direction of Kernodle Funeral Home.
The family request memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Lutheran Radio Hour.
Mrs. Alice Alzada Smith, age 67, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at Baptist Hospital-East in Memphis.
Mrs. Smith was born May 30, 1934 in Wynne, and was the daughter of Dyke Andrew Baldwin and Ona Bell Hicks Baldwin. She was a homemaker and lived in St. Francis and Cross County all of her life.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Smith; one son, Mike Smith; a daughter, Linda Davis; her parents; a brother, Clarence Baldwin; and a sister, Laura Bell Baldwin.
She is survived by four sons, Jackie Smith, Ray Smith, Rick Smith and Sammy Smith, all of Colt; three daughters, Jenny Douglas of Forrest City, Polly Douglas of Lewisburg, Tenn. and Lois Morian of Gillett; four brothers, Richard Baldwin of Forrest City, Billy Ray Baldwin of Taoka, Texas, D.A. Baldwin and Donald Gene Baldwin, both of Little Rock; four sisters, Mamie Coleman of Widener, Charlene Melton of Parkin, Betty Ware of Mena and Rose Elkins of North Little Rock; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at 1 p.m., at Kernodle Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Elkins officiating the service. Burial to follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Wynne under the direction of Kernodle Funeral Home.
