All three St. Francis County schools had home games scheduled tonight, but that number has now been downgraded to just two.

Forrest City, scheduled to host Little Rock Mills for a two-game AAAAA-East set tonight, will have to wait a while longer to play the Comets.

The two teams still have not played each other this season.

Originally set for Jan. 15 at Mills, the first meeting was pushed back to Feb. 21. Now, with Central Arkansas under the threat of a possible snow/ice mixture, the Pulaski County School District cancelled all athletic activities.

The game has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 11, beginning at 5 p.m.

The Comets have won seven consecutive conference games since losing their opener.

The Mustangs are 2-16 coming in and are winless in the conference at 0-8.

The Lady Mustangs ended a five-game slide last Friday against Sylvan Hills.

Over at Palestine-Wheatley, Lady Patriot Coach Beverly Bass will be coaching her final home game tonight when Altheimer rolls into Patriot Gym.

Bass plans to retire from coaching at the end of this season to enter administration.

It's Parent's Night tonight for the Palestine-Wheatley teams.

The Junior Patriots will start the three-game set at 5 p.m., followed by the senior girls and the senior boys.

The Hughes Blue Devils will host Lonoke tonight, for a two-game set beginning at 6 p.m.

In the first meeting between the two teams on Jan. 11, Lonoke handed the Blue Devils a conference loss in overtime.

The Blue Devils are 8-2 in the 6AAA Conference, behind league-leading Pine Bluff Dollarway at 9-1. Dumas is third while Lonoke stands at 6-4 for the year.

The Blue Devils will wind up the conference season on Friday when they make the trip to Dollarway.

Junior District

The Hughes Junior Blue Devils opened play Monday in the 6AAA Junior District Tournament at Lonoke and advanced to the second round with a 55-43 win over Brinkley..

David Dowden led Hughes with 27 points while Marcus Washington added 17 and Adrian Driver finished with six.

Hughes will face PB Dollarway Thursday at 5:45 p.m.
