Mr. Jesse Lee Davenport, age 67, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Davenport was born Dec. 10, 1934, and was the son of James Davenport and Fannie Yarbough Davenport. He was retired from D&L in Marianna, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Davenport was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Davenport in 1986; a daughter, Valerie Elliott in 2001; his parents and three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Davenport of the home; six sons, Keith Davenport, Kendall Davenport, Paul Davenport, William Davenport and Joel Davenport, all of Forrest City, and Jerry Davenport of Greenwood, Miss.; two daughters, Karen Carr of Belton, Texas, and Trena Flowers of Mountain Home; two sisters, Bertha Holland and Ellen Parsley, both of Forrest City; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Davenport will be held Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Davenport will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at 2 p.m., at Morgan Funeral Home, with Bro. Bob Bunting officiating the service. Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
Kenneth "Tiny" Harbin, age 46, of Hallettsville, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, in Hallettsville.
Mr. Harbin, born June 25, 1955, in Haynes, was the son of Jesse Ben Harbin and Vertie Mae Stidham Harbin. He was a Baptist by faith.
Mr. Harbin is survived by a sister, Tina Nicherson of Arkansas; and three brothers, Larry Harbin of Mississippi, Thomas Harbin of Kansas and Richard Harbin of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Mr. Harbin were held Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville, Texas with burial following in Geiger Cemetery in Sublime, Texas under the direction of Kubena Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dulcie O. Jordan, age 74, of Forrest City, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, in Memphis.
Mrs. Jordan was born Sept. 3, 1927, in Pangburn, and was the daughter of John W. Aunspaugh and Ollie Jane Turly Aunspaugh. She made her home in Forrest City all of her life, was a housewife and a member of the Revival Tabernacle Church.
Mrs. Jordan married James Jordan in 1946, and he survives her along with two sons, Tommy R. Jordan of Truman and James Keith Jordan of Forrest City; two daughters, Sherry Ann Kennedy of Palestine and Lenita Lynn Malone of Beebe; a sister, Mildred Bowman of Moro; a brother, J.W. Aunspaugh of Forrest City; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jordan were conducted today, Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Stevens Funeral Home with Bro. Alvin Swan officiating the service. Burial followed at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
