Mr. James F. Jones

Mr. James F. Jones, age 74, of Widener, died Friday, July 26, 2002.

Mr. Jones, born Dec. 24, 1927, in St. Francis County, the son of James Jones and Emmer Valis Jones Williams. He made his home in the Forrest City all of his life. He was a farmer and a member of Widener Baptist Church.

In 1969 Mr. Jones married Violet Stafford Jones and she preceded him in death in 1977. He is survived by three sisters, Edna Lang of Forrest City, Louise Oxford of Little Rock and Bobbie Boren of Widener; a brother, Ardie Williams of Widener and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation services for Mr. Jones will be held Saturday, July 27, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held Sunday, July 28, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Myers officiating. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Sammy Lee Mucherson

Mr. Sammy Lee Mucherson, age 42, of Widener died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at his home.

Mr. Mucherson, a mechanic, is survived by his mother, Annie Pearl Mucherson of Widner; two sons, Sammy Mucherson, Jr. and Antonio Mucherson, both of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Roy Mucherson of Forrest City and William Mucherson of Earl.

Visitation for Mr. Mucherson will be held Friday, July 26, 2002 at the Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 27, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Widner Community Church. Burial will follow at the New Home Cemetery under the direction of Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home.
