Essie Lockett Lott

Mrs. Essie Lockett Lott, age 58, of Forrest City, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at her home.

Mrs. Lott, born Sept. 23, 1943, in Forrest City, was the daughter of Jack Anderson Sr. and Rosie Metcalf Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Paul Lott of Forrest City; seven daughters, Ruthie Tate, Barbara Rolfe, Paulette Lockett, Carolyn Lockett, Jeanette Lockett, Lucille Lockett, all of Forrest City, and Sharon Lockett of Kansas City, Mo.; six sons, Jimmy Lockett, Willie Lockett, John Lockett, Tonio Lockett, Donald Anderson, Ocie Lockett, all of Forrest City; five sisters, Earline Anderson, Alice Avil, Ruby Jones, Deborah Williams and Brenda Ivory, all of Forrest City; six brothers, Jack Anderson Jr., James Anderson, J.W. Anderson, Richard Anderson and Roy Ivory, all of Forrest City and Earnest Ivory of Stockman, Calif.; 61 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mrs. Lott will be held Friday, July 5, 2002, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services for Mrs. Lott will be held Saturday, July 6, 2002, at 1 p.m. at New Light M.B. Church with Rev. Floyd Billups officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.
