Gary Dale Bruner Sr.

Mr. Gary Dale Bruner Sr., of Jonesboro died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He was 50.

Mr. Bruner was born Aug. 26, 1951, in Jonesboro. He was a Pentecost. He had lived in Jonesboro all of his life and was employed by S&S Glass.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Bruner of the home; a son, Gary Dale Bruner Jr., of Batesville; a daughter, Melinda Bruner of Jonesboro; his mother, Lucille Bruner of Jonesboro; one brother, Rick Bruner of Jonesboro; one sister, Debbie White of Jonesboro, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Bruner.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 tonight at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at the Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Bro. Ernest Cornish officiating. Burial will be in the Old Enterprise Cemetery.


William Corey Clarkson

Mr. William Corey Clarkson, age 24, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002.

Mr. Clarkson was born Nov. 7, 1977, in Wynne, and was the son of Billy Clarkson and Linda Jackson Clarkson. Mr. Clarkson lived in Forrest City all of his life and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Mr. Clarkson is survived by both his parents; two brothers, Randy Clarkson of the home and Brent Clarkson of Forrest City; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Clarkson of Colt; his maternal grandmother, Mary Watson of Forrest City. Mr. Clarkson is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Andrew Jackson, who died in 1999.

Services were held Friday, July 5, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Pine Tree Baptist Church. Burial followed in Barnishaw Cemetery. Memorials are to be made to the Barnishaw Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.


Frank Orland Crail Jr.

Mr. Frank Orland Crail Jr., age 55, of Jonesboro, formerly of Cardwell, Mo., died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at the Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Shultz Crail; a son, E.J. Roussell; his mother, Peggy Wicker Crail, of Cardwell; a sister, Pamela Lambert of Memphis; a brother, G. Bruce Crail of Chicago and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Orland Crail Sr.

Mr. Crail was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Kennett, Mo. He was a 1964 graduate of Cardwell High School. He obtained a degree in early childhood education from Arkansas State University, and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. Mr. Crail became one of the first men in Arkansas selected as a member of Kappa Alpha Court of Honor. In addition, he was an active member of the Grand Masonic Lodge of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C.

A former elementary school teacher, Mr. Crail was employed for 22 years by Old Reliable Casulaty Insurance company. He was a Baptist.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 tonight at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the First Baptist Church in Cardwell with Rev. Harold Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow at Lulu Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the ASU Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 1990, State University, AR 72467 for the Kappa Alpha fraternity scholarship assistance in memory of Mr. Crail.


Catherine England

Mrs. Catherine England, age 96, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at the Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Mrs. England is survived by a son, Gordon R. England of Ft. Worth, Texas; a daughter, Mary Lou Wilkinson of Caldwell; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at Stevens Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass for Mrs. England will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the St. Francis County C.A.R.E. Center, Rolling Readers, or an act of kindness of the donor's choice.


Jennifer Lynne Wright

Mrs. Jennifer Lynne Wright, age 21, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002.

Mrs. Wright was born Jan. 29, 1981, in Somerville, Tenn., and was the daughter of Toney Watkins and Dianna Perry. Mrs. Wright lived in Forrest City most of her life, was a member of the Women of the Moose and was a Baptist.

Mrs. Wright married Joe Wright in 2001, and he survives her along with mother and step-father, Dianna and Kevin Smith of Nunnelly, Tenn.; her father and step-mother, Toney and Sheila Watkins of Moscow, Tenn.; her grandparents, Susie and Johnny Conder of Forrest City, Stella Watkins of Moscow, Tenn., Chris Perry of Fort Smith, Eugene and Elsie Smith of Fairview, Tenn.; four sisters, Mandy Smith of Dickerson, Tenn., Hannah and Sara Watkins, both of Moscow, Tenn. and Hollye Conder of Forrest City; three brothers, Matthew and Tim Watkins, both of Moscow, Tenn. and Paul Halmayr, of Calif.

Mrs. Wright is preceded in death in 2001 by one brother, Johnathan Conder II.

Visitation for Mrs. Wright will be Friday, July 5, 2002 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
