Mr. Jessie L. McNeal, age 62, of Madison, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock.
Mr. McNeal, born Dec. 10, 1939, in Indianola, Miss., was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Lela Mae McNeal, of the home; eight daughters, Sharon Means, Diane Dix, Melody McNeal, Gloria Maxine McNeal and Gwendolyn Faye McNeal, all of Chicago, Jennifer Batees, of Isola, Miss., Chenel Evans, of Madison and Diane Taylor of California; a brother, Franklyn Miller, of Indianola, Miss.; four sisters, Daisy Ricks of Inverness, Miss., Gertrude Moffett of Chicago, Ill., Hanella Robinson of Merrillville, Ind., and Annie Lee Sims, of Crown Point, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. McNeal will be held Friday, June 14, 2002, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. McNeal will be held Saturday, June 15, 2002, beginning at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone M.B. Church in Madison with Rev. Leon Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
