The adult women's softball league officially concluded their season Thursday night at the Sports Complex and once again Chism Concrete finished at the top of the league standings, as they have done for several seasons.
Chism downed Mohr Sports Thursday to finish 11-0.
Looking back to the summer of 1997 (my first full adult softball season) Chism has put together an impressive 82-7 record in league play, winning the outright league title five of those six years and sharing the league honors once -- in 1998 with the Odd Sox, one of the few teams to beat Chism twice in a one year.
Since 1997, Chism has finished 19-1, 16-2, 14-1, 10-1, 12-2 and 11-0 this time around.
Can anyone say dynasty?
I can.
Maybe they should start wearing New York Yankee style pinstripes.
