Mr. Samuel A. Mason, age 50, died Monday, March 25, 2002 at Veteran's Hospital in Memphis. He as a grocer in Memphis.
Mr. Mason was the son of Raven and Ruth Mason. He is survived b six brothers, Raven Mason Jr. of Aikers, S.C., Don Mason of Strawberry, Ariz., David Mason of San Diego, Calif., James F. Mason of Forrest City, Patrick Mason of West Memphis and Charles Mason of Lepanto.
Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Charlene Culver Zimmer, age 85, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in Forrest City.
Mrs. Zimmer was born Dec. 18, 1916, in St. Francis County. She was the daughter of Charles Culver and Ora Lee Grant Culver. She was a housewife and a member of the Forrest City Area Humane Society.
Mrs. Zimmer was married to Otto Zimmer in 1944, and he preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean Guarr of Forrest City and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, March 27, 2002, at Stevens Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to the Forrest City Area Humane Society.
