Thomas Joseph Baldwin

Mr. Thomas Joseph Baldwin, age 53, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and San Carlos, Mexico, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in Hermosillo, Mexico.

Mr. Baldwin was born June 17, 1948 in Jonesboro, and was the son of William T. Baldwin Jr. and Violet Dowless Baldwin. He was retired from the Salt Lake City Tribune, was a Methodist and a veteran of Vietnam.

Mr. Baldwin is survived by his parents; a brother, David S. Baldwin of Forrest City; and a sister, Dian Bacon of Fayetteville.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.


Otis Lee Davis Sr.

Mr. Otis Lee Davis Sr., age 91, of Colt, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at his home.

He was born Nov. 3, 1910, a son of Andrew and Aremenda Rice Davis. He was a farmer and a Protestant.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Agnes Frost Davis in 1985, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Surivors include five sons, Robert Davis of Jacksonville, Scott Davis of Colt, Otis Davis Jr. of Beebe and John and David Davis of North Little Rock; six daughters, Allene Boles Laws and Ruby Colvin of Forrest City, Fern Smith Giudice of Arizona, Martha Myers of Wynne, Dorothy Baskins of Colt and Rachel Davis of Baton Rouge, La.; 35 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Davis were held Friday, March 8, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery, under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
