FCA Rally tickets still available

Certainly his legions of All-Americans, record success and coast-to-coast popularity can attest to one fact.

Bobby Bowden is a legend in the world of college football.

Bowden, 72-year-old Florida State head football coach, will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming "Evening of Influence" rally, sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and scheduled for April 8, at Mustang Arena in Forest City. The rally will start at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the rally are $10 each and Bill Baxter, one of the event organizers, said today that sales have been good.

"I believe we have sold about 800 tickets to date," Baxter said. "But we think we can do better. We'd like to sell about 2,000."

The tickets are being sold on a "first come, first serve" basis and Baxter said several local groups, churches and individuals have purchased packets of tickets, which will be given to those students who want to attend the rally, but may not be able to purchase a ticket.

For more information about ticket availability, contact Baxter at 633-0780 or Lewis Etheridge at 633-0310.

Sara Harris, ASU football coach Steve Roberts and ASU assistant coach David Gunn will also be guests at the rally.
