Mr. Tyrone E. Dent, 28, of Forrest City, died Monday, May 6 , 2002 at University Hospital in Little Rock.
Mr. Dent was born June 18, 1973, in Forrest City and was the son of Jack Anderson and Grace Dent. He is survived by his parents, four sisters Paula Parks of Forrest City, Yceychie Anderson and Ida Fields both of Stockton, Calif., and Jackie Reed of Kansas City, Mo., two brothers Jack Dent of Forrest City and Dominek Anderson of Stockton, Calif. and a grandmother, Ophelia Davenport of Forrest City.
Funeral services for Mr. Dent will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002, 1 p.m. at Redeeming Christian Spiritual Church with Pastor Therother Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest City Cemetery under the direction of Woodhouse Mortuary.
Mrs. Virginia Cox Sparks, 94, of Memphis, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Senior Services Health Care in Memphis.
Mrs. Sparks was a homemaker and member of Ardmore Baptist Church. She was proceeded in death by her late husband Noble Sparks and survived by her caregiver Lane Montgomery of Atoka, Tenn. and three nieces Virginia Claxton of Little Rock, Mary Faith Gilliam of Florida and Sandra Mayfield of Memphis.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sparks will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002, 11 a.m. graveside at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis under the direction of Forest Hill East Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be sent to Ardmore Baptist Church in Memphis.
