Liberty "Lib" Bell Stewmon

Mrs. Liberty "Lib" Bell Stewmon, age 83, of Forrest City, died Sunday, May 5, 2002, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

Mrs. Stewmon, born July 8, 1918 in Cotton Plant, was the daughter of Gurney Sullivan and Willie Sullivan. She had lived in Forrest City since moving from Cotton Plant in 1953 and was the owner of the Liberty Bell Café. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

In 1934 Mrs. Stewmon married T.R. Stewmon and he preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by a son, Billy Stewmon of Forrest City; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mrs. Stewmon will be held Monday, May 6, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Stevens Funeral home 3p.m. on Tuesday,May 7 with bural at Forrest Park under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.


Patsy Tucker

Mrs. Patsy Tucker, age 52, of Forrest City, died Friday, May 3, 2002.

Mrs. Tucker, born Nov. 25, 1949, to Charles and Dorothy Smith, of Cherry Valley. She was a retired employee of Sanyo Manufacturing and a member of the Fair Oaks Assembly of God. She is survived by her parents; her husband, Waymon Tucker; a son, William Free of West Memphis; two daughters, Janet Free and Karen Domilise, both of West Memphis; a sister, Kathy Hamilton of Wynne and six grandchildren.

Funeral serivces for Mrs. Tucker were held today, Monday, May 6, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Morgan Chapel with Bro. William Witcher officiating. Burial followed at Hughes Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.
