Not everyone from the Forrest City Mustangs who qualified for the Class AAAAA State Track Meet will be making the trip.
According to Mustang Coach Jeff Hudson, a discipline problem which developed at last Friday's state prelims at Conway will keep the 800-meter relay team at home as well as both 100-meter sprinters.
The state meet will be held Friday at Hot Springs.
One other Mustang sprinter, senior Willie Wade, who qualified in the 400-meter run, has opted not to compete Friday, deciding to skip the meet in favor of being at graduation ceremonies Friday night.
That leaves Hudson with Jesse Ballard, who will run in the 400-meter and Ray Dixon, who will compete in the shot put.
Hudson said Dixon, also a senior, could opt not to make the trip but as of press time today, Dixon was still a go for the competition.
As for the girls' competition, Forrest City Coach Lewis Etheridge is sending the 400-meter relay team -- Jessica Perkins, Chasna House, Shianekia Blunt and Melissa Humphrey -- to the state meet.
The first-place finishers in each event, plus the next three best times, advance to the Meet of Champs.

The eight-team field for the 2002 Rumble on the Ridge High School Basketball Tournament is complete.
The sixth annual Thanksgiving Day tournament, which features the best boys' basketball teams from across the south, will be held at Mustang Arena, Nov. 28, 29 and 30.
Besides the host team, Forrest City Mustangs, this year's field includes Arkansas' Class AAAAA state champion Little Rock Parkview Patriots; two Louisiana teams, Ouachita High School from Monroe and Barbe High School from Lake Charles; one Tennessee team, Bartlett High School and three Mississippi entries, Calloway High School from Jackson, McComb High School from McComb and Prentice High School from Prentice.
The tournament will feature four games each day, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Each team is guaranteed three games in the round-robin style bracket, with the championship game set for that Saturday night.
Physicals examinations will be given for all Forrest City female athletes in grades 7-12, on Saturday, May 18, by Dr. Susan Patton, at East Arkansas Children's Clinic, 901 Holiday Drive.
The exams will begin at 9 a.m., and will cost $10.
All Forrest City female students who wish to participate in any athletics for the upcoming 2002-03 school year, must obtain a physical form from any Forrest City girls' coach, complete it and bring it with them before the physical exams will be given.
